We launched at Tokeland marina about 7:45 am, Low tide was at 7:23...We got our gear in the water about 8am... We started at Bouy 2 and worked our way down...Had the one and only fish we caught all day the first ten minutes our line was in the the water... It ended up being a 10 lbs Silver..We only saw 2 other boats land fish all day and talked to a couple people back at the boat launch that didnt have any luck at all and said that didnt see many people land anything...I think the wind had a part in the fish not biting...It was cloudy all morning and then burned off and became sunny ...I hardly used the kicker motor because the wind was blowing the boat about 4 mph down through the channel..As far as gear we were useing..I had on a green big al's flasher with 3ft leader and a fresh herring and my buddy had a chrome big al's flasher with a metallic blue died herring.. we both used 6oz dropper weight on a slider
