I went out to kapowsin on the last day my fishing license was legal. I fished off of the dock there and was kept busy with lots of 9 inch yellow perch. The perch were caught on maggots and worms on a slip bobber about 3 feet down. When I lost interest in perch I figured I'd try the trout. Using chartreuse powerbait off the bottom with a 4 foot leader I scored with a nice fat 14 inch rainbow that had nice bright pink sides on it. those fish fought hard and were worth my time. Bass fishing should pick up as I've seen some on their nests. If bass is your objective, a 7" black power worm weightless or a black/blue jig with trailer fished around wood or weed lines will score you some fish. Well, gotta go and catch the big one so tight lines everyone!!
