I have been fishing this lake since I was a little boy with my grand father and we always catch nice fish, but if you are looking to catch bass, which according to my grandpa, are the only fish worth catching, you have to head out between 2am and 4am, we have always landed our biggest fish before the sun came out. And it is especially true of this lake. Get yourself a boat and a tub of night crawlers or some pork rinds (true bass fishermen know what these are..) and be on the lake around 3 or 4 am and you will catch some nice bass. Remember, "The early worm gets the fish." as my grandpa always said....
