Hit the hoodsport hatchery aka combat zone today, let my humpy rig out in 10 feet of water at 2.5mph and sat down in the seat then I was trying to figure out what that thumping noise was, the pole finally a fish. Pulled him in then started debating if it was a pink or a chinook. I'm a rookie first season so I let it go and after further review of the rules book I let a nice pink go. Hooked up another one shortly after but he got off right at the boat. Saw guys wading pulling in a few but not other boaters. I was the only one trolling a rig everyone else was jigging. I was very happy to finnally hook up only took about 30 gallons of gas and the last two weeks of going out but now Im hooked.Be out there in the morning to try again.
