Got down to Carkeek park at around 6:30, couldn't find anywhere to park due to three seperate, large picnics going on in that open area near the beach. Once I finally got down to the beach, it was busy, but wasn't too hard to find a clear spot to set up and cast from. Used a threeway swivel rig, and put half a raw shrimp ($4.99 per bag at Fred Meyer) on the hook and tossed it out. Biggest problem I had was finding somewhere I could cast that didn't immediataly hook me up into the weed beds just offshore. Caught two small fish I'd never seen before, but I think they were some species of sculpin based on pictures I've seen online. Fished for about an hour and half.
