Since this is a fishing report I will say that amongst other great weekend activities, we spent a lot of time fishing from the beach. We were casting the Blue Fox Vibrax #4 spinners. Mostly silver blades and shafts, or Gold. It wasn't necessarily the fastest fishing. but we did catch and release a couple of juvenile Silvers. We saw few along the way which were jumping within casting distance. Water was anywhere from calm as glass, to 40 mph winds and rain via a storm that came through. No fishing pressure here, this place is all about chillin. Another cool thing.... I probably threw 100 casts, next thing you know, the kid in the photo asks if he can cast my rod. OK, I'm like,,, "Yeah, whatever kid" He throws one cast about 15' out,,, fish on, small silver.
On another note.. If you come here. The newly remodeled cabins are $29.00 Sleeps two adults, and 4 kids. No kidding.
Of course if you want a full house, I think that goes for 50-60 bucks.
The best thing to mention is that there is The Center for Wooden Boats on site. This place will allow you to take out a Classic style wooden boat for CHEAP!! Example being a 16' boat with 25 hp motor rents for $4.00 dollars for 2.5 hours.
I thought it was maybe a antique sign reproduction... but no, it's true.
I won't ramble on any more. Go check it out.
