got out to the pier about 9:30a.m. on an out going tide, it was windy and bit nippy but soon heated up and was beautiful and warm, anyways one guy already got one on the pier 15lb king using a silver holographic jig of some kind. my son and i didn't get a salmon but i did get 2 strong hits. i was using a green point wilsons dart candlefish. but i also used a number of other jigs such as a gibbs minnow, 3 different crippled herrings, and a different color dart. but only managed to draw the 2 strikes. switched up to bottom fish and got 2 small rockfish, a big flounder about 1lb and a 1/2 (big for the sound) an eel looking thing called a snake prickle back, a couple shiner perch and a couple of smaller flounders, all using a SABIKI saltwater hot hooks set up. there was a lot of ppl on the water, extreme boat traffic, and a ton of fishermen, fisherkids and fisherwomen on the dock packed it up about 5:30p.m. we had a great time got a great sun burn, and soon will get my first king of the summer landed. tight lines everyone
