Had a really good day on the water if not a bit rough. Went out with The Slammer & Capt. Rhett and the gang. Our boat of 19 people caught their limit on rock fish (2-6 lbs. per fish) and then moved on to do some lingcod fishing. 19 of them were brought to the boat with only three or four people not catching one. The biggest was a 14 pounder caught by my dad while mine was down around 8 lbs. Rock fish were in 20-25 of water, the biggest lingcod was with them, the other 18 lingcod were caught roughly 8 mi. off the coast, 10 mi. up the coast from Westport in 70 + feet of water

As a side note, I was a little depressed that most of the time on the boat was spent driving to & from the fishing locations. I was very pleased with the fact that we got on the fish in a hurry when we did stop however . This was my first ocean trip and it was a very pleasant one since I did not get sick. Got to love the ginger.
