went out to redondo pier about 3:30 today. beautiful day sunny and warm, the family went to the beach, and i decided to toss the dart around for awhile, i was the only one on the pier but shortly after that 3 more salmon fishermen showed up, then a few bottom fishermen showed. so anyways on my second cast i was using a green and white pt. wilsons dart 2 1/4oz i had a nice take down but i think i missed it slightly cause of the new single hook off the piers law this year. so i kept on fishing and caught a 12 inch silver got him off and released back to grow some. that's about it for the day packed up and will be out again tomorrow. tight lines.

Congrats on the 12" silver. Keep those reports from your area coming in. I want to get down there soon, I'm getting burned out on my shilshoe marina.

i was there on friday morning but got nothing used a dart in white, green and anchovie 430 to 8:00am .it will pick up soon i do well on kings there know most of the regulars and stay in touch with them but no good news.ive caught kings off the pier in june before if u believe that no lie.july tides suck and that plays a big part in the catching department.the key there is to fish the tide change 2 hours before and 2 after best chance of catchn them .i went there three evenings in a row one hour difference each day to stay with the right time in the tide change and limited each day with in 20 minutes so thats how i doit probably should of called witness lol.

fishinrob i do beleive u on the june hook ups cause last month during those super minus tides i had went out and hooked up on the incoming tide it was probly close to 20 lbs but did not expect it and lost it cause i didn't bring out my net cause i thought it was too early and too low of a tide, it was great though, everyone on the pier was super excited even the construction workers stopped working to watch me fight that fish, i had it tired out to the point it was laying on its side i tried to beach it and the hook popped out it just layed there for about 15 seconds before waking up and out to deep water again. i was so upset with myself oh well can't get them all. but i've been out every week since with my net lol.
