Had a good day out there today. Hit the water just before low tide at around 7am. Trolled Slag Pile, Clay Banks. Looked like a hundred boats out there. Guess I should have expected that. It was "Opening Day" again. Boats were lined up clear over the top of the hill above the Pt. Defiance boat ramp. Glad I had my boat stashed inside at the "Boathouse".Made two passes and decided to cut over to Quartermaster. Not much going on there until about 11am. Picked up a small, but nice legal Blackmouth at 65ft on the downrigger in 95ft of water. Green Glow 11" Pro-Troll flasher and Silver Horde Ace-High Fly. Had a couple more strikes but missed 'em. Great day on the water. Lots of sea birds, a few seals and a beautiful Eagle. Very nice day on the water. Bigger and more fish would have made it a spectacular day.
