First lingcod outing this year. Drifted across the east side of Possession Bar radiating out from Scatchet Head to the end of the bar. We always have good luck in this area, especially for lings, cabezon, and rockfish. Using 3, 4, and 6 ounce jigs with six-inch rubber worms 2-5 feet off the bottom, we mostly catch these species and manage to avoid pesky flounders and dogfish. We put a few drops of Butt Juice on our lures. We caught several lings, the keepers being 6, 16.5, and a 26 lb. fish that was 39 inches. The following day we caught more lings, some cabezon and one nice rockfish as well. Good fishing!
