My Dad and I left the Everett docks at about 5:30 AM and headed south toward Mukilteo. The weather was cloudy, with only a gentle breeze. We were trolling "the usual" Humpy gear; a pink squid and a white flasher, about 30 to 35 feet deep. Then the fun began. We both limited in about 2 1/2 hours. We had been told by my neighbor to always troll from north to south, and don't even bother with the other direction. Ha! We caught 4 heading north, 3 heading south, and 1 heading west. That doesn't include the 3 that got off the hook. I guess the fish didn't get that memo. It was the best day of salmon fishing I've ever had. Too bad we have to wait another 2 years to do it again. Happy fishing everyone!
