My wife and I got out on the water by 5:30 a.m. Still a little dark out at that time. Began fishing a little closer to 6, better light. Fished cut plug herring approximately 37 to 45 feet down. A couple bites but no fish the first two hours. At around 8 a.m. she hooked a small coho (5#). Only saw one other small fish caught all morning. Went back out again 9-5-02. Slow again for the first couple hours. Around 9 I hooked a nice coho about 10#, only to have it come unbuttoned at the boat. That was it for the day. Didn't see anything netted either. Can't help but wonder if commercial nets are having an impact.
