Got on the water at about 8:30am headed to the NW side of the lake and started to work a #176 yammamoto grub Texas rigged with 6lb stren.
Sure enough, I found what the Bass like on this lake. No spinnerbaits, not the crankbait or even top water ( I wish). They do like craw colored grubs and, they attack them.

At first I was pitching to the deep ends of the docks to find the fish that may be pre-spawn.. but no hits off the bottom or on the drop of the grub. Moved to a little shallower water 2-6ft and bingo, fatty came out for some breakfast ( BAM!!). Caught a 4lb 18" Largemouth. Had a craw tail hanging out of his mouth along with the grub.. Worked the dock a little longer and had a few really nice females full of eggs look at the bait but no takers.. They were about 5-8 lbs really nice fish. Silver lake in Snohomish County has little pressure on its bass due to the fact that no one has found a way to catch them. Well after you have read this post you should have success on many Westside lakes that contain Bass. I have found that this pattern with the texas rigged grub catches fish any time of year.

Water Temp: 55-59 Deg
Time of day 8:30-10:30 am
Bait: 2/0 Gamakatsu Worm Hook, 16th oz bullett weight, Yammamoto #176 grub.

Visiable new nests in 2-3 ft of water..

One can buy the yammamoto 176 grubs at Anglers Choice in Lake Forest Park; you may also want to pick up some 2/0 Gamakatsu worm Hooks for the smaller sized grubs..
