Arrived at 5:00am and the fresh bait from the boathouse was superb.
Mooched the clay banks on the outgoing until the tide changed around 6:00am. I took a nice fish on the first drift--14lb hen, strong and fresh and it put the light tackle to the test. We changed position after the tide change and fished the hump on the incoming tide. We hooked up again about 9:30am and took the twin to the fish already in the boat. The dogfish were thick and between the three of us we went through over 35 leaders. We have had good luck at Pt Defiance this year totaling seven fish boated and one fish lost at the net in three trips.
