Rachel and I set out to Redondo for the afternoon tide change at 6:30. I set one rod at 50' and one rod at 75'. Both rods had white/glow flashers and white/glow hoochies. Turns out the rod set at 50' got all the action. We hooked in to our first king right around 5 PM and this fish was on fire. It jumped once and was just going nuts. The fish eventually worked it's way around the 'rigger boom and got off. While we were still dead in the water I grab the other rod to reel up and reset. While reeling up I catch another king just below the boat. This fish was questionable in size so I cut it loose. Finally, we get going again and the rod set at 50' goes off again. This time I know it's a good fish. After netting and weighing the fish it turns out to be a 13# king.
