My buddy George and I hit Jeff Head starting about 8:30, midway between a low tide of about 5 feet and a high tide of about 10 feet at noon. We were using mostly Coyote spoons. Fished outer bar around to south and back again. Caught a few shakers, but the fishing was slow. Others came and went. We did have one nice fish on, but a sudden jerk and the appearance of a seal shortly after suggests we fed him.
We then moved up to Kingston, fishing the outer edge at Apple Tree point. Caught a fair number of shakers, but nothing else and saw no nets out among the other half dozen boats. We then went to the oil docks and picked up a couple of shakers. Great to be on the water, even if a relatively slow fishing day. Finished about 2 PM.
