George and I hit Jeff Head about 8 AM. Almost immediately caught a 7-8 pound blackmouth. High tide was 11 so we fished until about 12:30. Had an occasional slow spell, but caught quite a few nice shakers and released another two or three keepers. No way was I quitting. The wind was calm. It was beautiful. We did release one shaker and had a seal swirl within 2 or 3 feet of the boat as it came up and took the poor thing. Unfortunately we probably fed it a couple more. We took a quick run down to West Point and immediately had several hits and released one nice keeper. And then it simply shut down. Might note that we launched out of Shilshole because of the big increase in launch rates at Edmonds. With parking it is now $27 for all boats, including my 17 footer! Trolled in front of Shilshole to call it a day and caught some small shakers. This was a wonderful day. Get off the couch and on the water!
