Went out to Edmonds Pier to try out the blackmouth fishing once again. Arrived at the pier around 8:00 AM and the skies were crystal clear and the water was dead calm. Fished with a pearl white gibbs minnow for an hour until my friend, Hansen, gave me his secret lure. Fished with that lure until noon. The tide was very high and I knew there were some fish swimming around the area. I fished really hard and finally hooked a nice fish with the secret lure. First I thought I hooked into a damn seal cuz of the way it burned my drag. But then after a 5 minute battle, the fish finally came up to the surface and I realized I've hooked a very decent size blackmouth. 5 minutes later I landed the fish with the help of my other friend, Joe. The fat buck pulled the scale at 12 lbs. Whew.... what a great fight. Bled the fish immediately and went home. Gonna try again tomorrow if the weather is good.
