Needed to get a little rust out of the fishing gear and tried this lake. What to my surprise a flock of cormorants, these fish eating sea birds, had again been cleaning out the newly stocked plants. Other fishermen and a man on his dock said these birds come the very day of the plant and stay a while. Trolling a variety of lures I did catch a few hold overs dispite the bird invaders. It would be nice if the planted fish were larger and not an instant chum feed for birds. Was told this predation happens a lot in westside lakes. Gear worked great, time on the water is always great. Good luck to all. GH
