Took my daughter Megan out for one last shot at silvers in the salt. Left Everett to find flat water and no fog until you got past Mukilteo. Bonus!

Given the time of year and incoming tide, we started trolling NE of Mukilteo heading back towards Everett. We marked some fish and on our third or fourth pass through them, got a good strike on a green 4" Grand Slam Bucktail behind a Hot Spot. I got all the other tackle cleared and Megan did a good job bringing the 9# hooknose to the boat.

A couple of circles later, I decided to troll towards Hat Island to see how things were over there. Part way there we got another hit on the same rig, though much deeper. This time Megan brought an 8# hen to the net.

I tried a plug and flasher squid rig on the other side, but ALL our silvers this year have come on that same bucktail, now on its third set of hooks!

About 11:00 we tried to go up to Kayak based on an earlier report here, but the wind kicked up and it got too bouncy. We turned over to Langley and hung out for a while to eat lunch and walk around before we headed back to Everett. A nice outing!
