Since today was my sons first day of Kindergarten I got a late start. We didn't hit the water until 10:00, which is when the tide started coming back in. Trolled South for two solid hours, zig-zagging from mid channel back towards shore. We finally got our first fish, a real nice twelve pounder at 12:00 sharp. We got that fish right in front of the white box that's just North of the shipwreck. It hit a white hoochie 36" behind a green hotspot.
Thirty minutes later in the same vicinity both rods went off within seconds of each other but we only managed to boat one, an average 6 pounder.
It took an hour to get our last fish of the day, a nice, fat 9 pounder that we got back by the boat launch. Since I had to be at work at 2:00, I had to call it a day. All in all a nice day. My fishing partner just told me to make sure I include his name, Mike Fields. He got the 12 pounder.
