With fishing partners Don and Steve, I fished for salmon and rock fish for 3 days. We caught lots of salmon, mostly coho, but we did catch 2 legal kings. Hooked lots of coho that were not fin clipped and carefully released them. We caught lots of rock fish, maybe about 10 different species, but kept mostly the black sea bass. Also caught a couple of nice ling cod. Maybe the most unusual sight among many was a big bull elk swimming down the Strait about a half mile off shore heading for the ocean. I later learned from another angler that the elk finally took his chances and swam onto the shoreline on the Indian Reservation.
