Opening day on Padden is as close to a guarantee as it gets. Hit the water early (5:30) and fished until 2pm. Caught well over 40 fish on the boat, long distance released another 15, and missed countless bites. Started the morning trolling worms and periodically anchoring and still fishing power eggs. Once all 4 of us started filling stringers we switched over to all artificials and trolled so that we could play catch and release and be a little more choosy. Nearly everything we put in the water caught fish today, but the hottest presentations were a lone worm trolled with no flasher or dodger, and a red wedding ring I was trolling behind a hammered brass dodger. Saw lots of catching out there today and lots of kids having a good time. Weather turned south very quickly after 12pm, people must have been limited out because the lake cleared out within minutes. Pulled off the water with 20 fish in the cooler and worked together to fillet them and get them in a brine for smoking tomorrow! Great day on Lake Padden!

Nice report! I hit Padden yesterday and today, but did not to quite as well (still about 15 total!) the Super Duper was killing it too, and of course power eggs. I am going to take my new float tube out hopefully tomorrow.

Good luck! I found that the corner by the dog park was easily the hottest zone. 20' of water or so. I think I'll be at Toad tomorrow.
