Thought I would enjoy the awesome day so headed to Lake Stevens for some Kokanee. Started fishing around 6:30am and finished a little past 11am. God blessed with 6 Kokanee plus 2 catfish, did let the first catfish go. Used atrolling rig 50/50 gold on first rod and the Pink Top and Blue 50/50 in modified versions on the second rod. Both rods and patterns mentioned produced the fish. Ran 2 leader lengths of 16" and 13". Don't have speedometer so can only guess was doing about 1.5mph.

Water temp was 50 degrees at the start and up to 53 degrees when I left. All fish were caught at a depth of 10ft. Quite a bit of folks out on the water which was enjoyable to see. Wishing all tight lines!

Always shocks me pulling a catfish.

I'd be surprised if that is a catfish. Looks like a brown bullhead to me. I accidentally caught one on Lake Goodwin last summer.
