Hit Angle Lake this morning but did not take all the new toys with me. No sonar at all. Figured it is a small lake, would not need it today. Wind was blowing pretty good so the electric trolling motor was having a hard time keeping me in a straight line. Used Elgin Tackle blades first. Two poles at different depths trolling. Went 1 mph first. Had one hit and run. Did that for a while then bumped up to 1.5-1.8 then 2 +. No luck.
Hit spot lock and jigged for a while with the Elgin Spoon. Stuck a couple of 20 year old Fire Eggs on the hook and had one bump in half an hour. Tied on a drop shot with a chunk of white senco worm. Played with that for a while and had one trout chase it when I reeled it up to the top. Headed in just in time to see a guy on the end of the dock catch what looked like a 14"+ trout. Nice.
