The sun was shining so I took advantage of the nice weather and went out to Hayden today for some more kokanee. We had lines in the water by 12:30 and were running pink hoochies tipped with live maggots along with Mack's dodgers and Shasta sling blades. I have tried various different scents while fishing on Hayden but Anise always has worked the best so lately it is all I use. The day started very slow and we didn't get our first fish until 2:00pm. I marked several large schools of kokanee from 60ft up to 15ft and ran our four lines through them but didn't get a bite until we turned around and trolled back through them again. We ended up with 8 fish from 12-14 inches and we caught them from 50 feet on the downrigger to the top ten feet of the water. The speed varied between 1.0- 1.6mph. It started to cloud up so we pulled the lines at 4:00 and headed home in time for dinner. All in all it was another nice day on a beautiful lake.

If you are referring to the black pipe in the picture it is draining one of my damaged gutters that was leaking rainwater into a window well on my house.

That is one happy face right there. That's what it is all about. Thanks for the report.

I believe he is referring to the 17,000-30,000 gallons of raw sewage that leaked into Hayden Lake near Clarks point last week.

I didn't noticed any sewage but interestingly enough we caught most of our fish of off Clark's point.
