First time ever fishing Hayden lake. Launched just after 8am four of us had our lines in the water by about 8:30 , boated the first two fish within minutes.( wow these are nice fish this is going to be a great day)... anyhow make a long story short we fished for 6.5 hours boated 17 fish lost atleast 10 and had several bumps.... most of the fish were caught from about 1: 30 to 3 o'clock in the middle of the lake in 185 ft of water..... we fished with Les Davis lake trolls (jack o loyd)and wedding band spinners tipped with maggots 1.5 oz of lead 55 to 75 feet behind the boat.... although most of the fish came in the last hour, with one line on a down rigger (ten pound weight )same set-up 40 feet deep and 25 ft of line behind the ball.... the fish where 11.5 to 13.5 " great day all in all will be back soon..... we normally fish Lake Cd'a and are used to limiting out,but fish average 9 "
