Well, back to the same lake, with the same crankbait, the same way, the same situation, but a different part of the lake, and with the same results - ONE more Smallie, only a little bigger this time at 2.27 lbs. Water is 1 to 3 degrees warmer than yesterday. Still under 50 degrees.

Brown bass don't count! Those things eat in January for crying out loud! LOL

Nice work!

I can lip a trout, does that count? Greenies are far more finicky early season biters, bronzebacks are routinely caught all year long on many different lakes. Comes down to personal preference is all, I get way more jacked up over early green than anything bronze.

Again, nice work grinding em out!!

Yup, I'm always happier seeing a Largie on the line.

True, I lipped a trout last year. Well, it counts in your total fish for the year but not in your bass category. Glad they are starting to bite. We had a lot of rain saw this am...first time in 120 years that both FEB/MAR had over 6" of rain in the month. So might take a while for the bite to heat up this year.
