Finaly caught my first Bass for this season. Smallie at 1.69, on a deeper diving crankbait. Light bite, not a big fighter at first, but was ok after a little bit. One bite, one fish. Sunny at first, then the wind got up. After a bit I went home. It started to sprinkle as I was getting home from the store to get bacon. Mmmm Sprinkling again now. But ya gotta go fishing to catch fish. lol And my new spinnerbait reel works great.

Congrats you are on the board for the year. I haven't been out but got my portable broken Hummingbird fish finder working so excited to get out soon and give it a shot. I may not catch one but I can hear the beeps when they swim by.

Hey a fish is a fish. Im still 0 for 0 for bass this year, well for fish this year haha. I plan on breaking that April 1st possibly heading up north to Terrell before the spawn and before the weeds get bad. I will post a report regardless of location & outcome.
Tight Lines!

I was doing so good in Nov. The cold got to me in Dec. and early Jan., so didn't even get out until Jan. 26th. This was the 6th time to the same lake, with skunks the first 5 trips. Maybe I should go to the 2 lakes where everybody else is catching Bass. Na, there is the challenge factor. HaHa And the crappie and perch don't count. :-) But this means I can still catch a Bass now and then. YEAH!
