Nice day but slow on the fishing. Things picked up in mid afternoon, but still slow. Not sure where 7,000 trout went but saw very few on the fish finder. Trolled the entire lake searching for a school. However, did hook into a hold over that took my damsel fly nymph and ripped off 50 feet of backing. I couldn't keep up with reeling it in and got too much slack line and lost it. Probably should have stripped in the line, but with so much out it would have been a tangled mess in the boat. It was pretty exciting for a minute or two. Caught 3 small planters, plus another 15 incher that came off at the boat. only 6 or 7 bankers at the park, with 6-8 boat anglers. Saw just one other fish caught at the boat launch.
