Went out yesterday morning to American lake for some Rainbow fishing. It is still a little early in the year but we wanted to try some trolling with our standard gear. The weather was good, about 45 to 50 degrees, and no wind. We used 27" Lake trolling flashers and wedding ring with night crawler piece. Speed was at 1 knot and fished for 3 hours. We marked almost nothing at the normal spots (Northeast and Northern shoreline). Decided to troll back to the boat launch and head home. Then suddenly we hooked up to a nice one just north of the launch. Had three more great take downs but couldn't keep them hooked. Turned out to be a good morning.
