Snow or no snow I was heading out today! Was mainly slush on my way to the lake. Water temps were 42-42.5* and when the sun came out it wasn't half bad, when the wind blew it wasn't half good :)

I fished a couple humps, two drop-offs and a large outside weed edge in depths to 25', used drop shots and jigs mainly. Can't say I had a bite even though once or twice the grass got me excited! Water has a decent stain to it.

WARNING: Use extra caution when fishing this lake this year! I cannot believe how many of the pilings have snapped off below the water line! The freezing conditions are usually good for that but boy, if you don't know where they are it is a great way to bust something on your boat! Use caution out there. In the summer months when the water drops a bit more a lot of them will be visible again but not all of them.

So you did get the Jon boat out. Cabin fever is at a all time high and can't wait to get out there but still to cold for me. I have never fished for bass just perch in the lilys. Now that I'm retired will fish for everything and get use out of my smoker. Yes when I get my larger fishing boat out this year good to know about the dead heads.

Nah, the Jon Boat is still upside down on it's rack. I typically only use that for small small water or lakes where my big boat is banned for no good reason ;)
