Matt Farnum of Everett and Yuri Ruban of the Ukraine came out to fish for Kokanee with Jeff today. They worked the lower part of the Lucerne Basin and limited out in about 3 hours. Seeing Bighorn Sheep and Deer are a bonus. They trolled Mack's 7.6 Dodgers with short leaders to mini Cha Cha Squidders baited with corn soaked in Pro Cure Bloody Tuna scent at about 1 mph. Jeff spots the schools on the sonar and pulls the gear just above or through them. This winter bite has been hot!

It was a cold light rain with no wind today, so although not as essential as during the heart of the winter, the propane heater and overhead cover were most welcome.
