Got out there a little after first light, was aiming to go for some early season rainbows so we rigged up for deeper and slower trolling compared to what we would normally run, due to the temps. Was using a silver dodger with a 1.5ft leader and a rainbow print Kastmaster on one pole and a 3/8oz. Wedding Ring spinner w/ bait (worm) on another fishing between 15-20ft deep. Trolled around for most of the morning, about 3 hours and had a bite or two. Switched over to bass fishing around noonish and went to early evening, was trying several things from drop shot senkos to jerk baits to spinner baits and still couldn't manage to pull a fish. Think it's probably still a little early in the season for trolling for trout but thought bass might be starting to get a little more active due to the break in severe weather we've been having lately. Hopefully better luck next trip!

Thanks for report. Did you see any fish on depthfinder? I have fished this lake for many years and fish are very finicky.

Wasn't really seeing much on the fish finder, granted i don't have a very good one lol, but what fish i did see were near the bottom if not at the bottom. Unfortunately it's still the time of year where fish don't really hold anywhere specific so most of that day was spent trying to find where they are holding at.
