We headed out to Forth of July lake at 8:00 A.M. The wind was very bad and the temperature was around 27-30 degrees. The first couple hours we had no bites, except one that my buddy had. We decided to move to a different spot at about 12:00 o'clock and moved farther down the lake. Their were about 4 people on the lake and the other guys were doing pretty good. We didn't catch any until about 12:30, right when we moved. I asked the other guys what they were using, and they were using powerbait, so I put some on my line, and in about 20 min. I had a fish on. We were surprised at how big the fish was when he got to the hole, we got him through the ice and he was 20 in. and 3 1/2 lbs. Big fish. We fished till 1:30 P.M. and then left to go home. The day was great except for the wind blowing the whole time we where there.
