Headed out at first light. 36 degrees and light rain. Plenty of action everywhere. Mostly the normal 12-15" fish. Catch & release with barbless fly gear. Caught about 10 fish each then decided to try our favorite hole for some monsters. Sure enough caught this 10lb 9oz triploid. 5 minutes later landed a 7lb fish. Hit a few more 12" fish on the way back in.

Good Looking fish! Nicely done. Did you land that with the fly rod in the picture? I bet that was fun.

Thanks, I landed it on my old Sage DS2 5 weight (favorite rod) with a #12 bugger. Had some lite tippet too. Both fish were jumpers, the larger fish broke the surface on the take. I didn't know if I was going to get either in with a barb-less hook and all the jumping. The larger fish jumped 3 times and the 7lb fish twice. It was fun and a bit nerve wracking because we only had standard trout nets, no salmon gear. Half of the fish was sticking out of the net. Overall a good day. We have done better though so only 4 stars.
