Came to work and sat looking at the amazing day out of my window. My son from Montana was going back home Wednesday so I just made a executive decision. We were going fishing one more time.

Ran home and grabbed the few things needed and got hooked up. On the way off Camano I asked him, want to go to Big Lake and sit and catch Catfish or up to Campbell and just troll around and fish. He choose Campbell. What a GREAT Choice.

Got there and the ramp was covered on both sides by shore fishermen. slid out and went left because the guy on the right was screaming to not cross his "3" lines, What a great man.

With in the first 3 minutes a line went off. Great chunky 14" Rainbow in Fall colors. Pulling Arrow flashers, one gold, one silver with Moon Jelly wings and a Whooley Bugger behind on a 24 inch leader. We caught fish for hours. Never more than 20 minutes between hits. King of the say was 3.4 pounds and almost 24 inch hen. We kept 5 that were bleeding from Deep hooking. Funny when you think that even as fast as we were trolling, they still were able to swallow a fly deep. No bait, no sent used at all today.

We were finding most of the clobbers at about 1.7 and since we were flat lining it couldn't have been more then a few feet down. We were following the Weed line out about 25 feet from them all the way to the corner up along the highway and big turn and go back. A few other areas were boring ( read 15 min with no hits) so we kept to that area.

A memory to be held of my son and I together again.

We think a like, was thinking about fishing it this weekend. Some real pink meat toads earlier this year.

Nice day on the water and your son choose wisely. I tried Campbell for bass when I lived up there 1998-2006 but caught more slime then anything. Glad you had a great day.
