Took a run up to Grandy this morning to try for bass but the trout would not leave my lures alone! I managed to catch one 11 inch bass but in the process caught three 16 - 18 inch trout. They would follow my lure on almost every cast sometimes two or three of them at a time but only the big ones would hit it. All my bites came in the pads, nothing deep, nothing near the timber across from the launch on the deeper bank. I bailed out about 2:30.

Did you catch all of the fish from the bank?

No, I was fishing from a boat in the north end mainly (left from the launch). I don't see how you could miss from the bank though? Bobber and worm or throw spinners.

Is that campground still open? I camped and fished there several years ago. Caught several bass. My personal best Grandy fish stands at 18 1/2 inches, 3 pounds and 3 ounces. That fish hit a white power grub on June 19, 1992.

Yes, campground is operational. Fun little pond this lake! I have caught one true dandy out of here, but it sure can be fast action at times!

Small and gravel with very little parking, especially for trailers.

Oh. I have a 15 ft. Gregor, open no helm. Was wondering if I could get it in. saw a bigger boat in the lake in a picture under grandy lake images.

I have put my RT in there. You just run the risk of nowhere to park, but you'll know if there's parking before you launch as there's only three non-campsight parking spots for trailers. Tiny lake, lot's of rocks and logs so it's trolling motor only for the most part.
