Went for my third weekend in a row up to Clear Lake on Sunday since the Seahawks weren't on. Goal is to get a 14"+ bass. Didn't get up early its fall bassin'. Got to lake at 11:15am and fished until 4pm. 2nd time I got there and dogs using the launch on the left so used the launch on right which is where I wanted to launch any how. I had good luck in the channel last week and wanted to try it again. Lake was pretty calm and one car in parking lot. Got first bass out in middle of channel on top water perch #5 rapala 10" bass. Got two more on next few casts very small but good start they are biting. Tried buzzbait and perch rapala size 5 today. Last time got a big one close to left shore had a few bites over there but nothing of size. Saw lots of fish surfacing by pads and in middle so keep casting out deep and by pads on right side this time. Wind was blowing just enough to keep me zig zagging between sides. I got 3 more small fish and came to corner with cove in pads...wind blew me to side of the pads. So cast to the cove one twitch two twitch and fish on! Where's my drag! He headed for the pads I moved him out and almost lost him as he scooted over a clump of pads and up to the boat and under the boat...let him play out and lipped him. Get the tape measure 15" by 3 1/2" wide! Mission accomplished. Take a selfie and back in the water.

Got another 12" and tried the buzzbait for a bit...cast reel in and fish hits 2ft from the boat surprised me 9" on buzz. Had 15 fish including my first perch of the year by time I left the channel area. Never been to far end of the lake in South so motored and casts some on way down. Got a couple more dinks and one on buzz bait by Public park a 10". Wind picked up and started to drift down to end of lake...made a few casts close to pads nothing...so tried out deeper and sure enough bite hit swirl...reeled in my lure 12" on right by the boat and had loose drag and needed it. I had 4lbs test on the top water reel. Found the weed line and got 2 more out deep like 20-30ft out from the lily pads including a 12.5" who thought he was bigger he fought for a while. Finally made it to far end and huge dock and decided to call it a day. Trolled back to boat launch no bites and wind was picking up.

Bass are still biting got 22 fish today and had 2-3 on that I lost one felt 10"+. Got 15", 12.5", 12"-2, 10"-2 couple 9" and rest smaller and one perch. Got a couple reeling in the minnow today and few on buzz bait rest on top water minnow.

All fish catch and released.

Good luck out there.

James
