Good day on the lake today. We managed to get 2 nice coho in the boat after loosing 3 right at the boat and releasing 2 cutties. Fished in the 50-80' range 10' off the bottom the whole time. Plug- cut herring in a homemade brine has been working well for us.

Are you pairing that with a flasher or running the cut-plug solo?

Great report exciting to know fish are coming in. I erroneously reported regarding nets. They will only be in on the 18-21st. Last year I gor fish using a dodger and green and yellow (perch Hootchie pattern?) with a smile blade. In years past orange or red wiggle warts worked well especially with early and bright fish.

Yes, I did very good last year with a bright yellow 8" BB dodger and a chartreuse mini squid with smile blade, tipped with a small piece of coon shrimp. This year however the herring is been the star of the show for us. We released 2 beautiful kings on Saturday as well that fell for the herring.
