I got out to CDA with the packernut in the rain yesterday. We gave our rain gear a workout, that's for sure. We managed 6 pike on the day with one 29"er one 30"er and two 31"ers. I think the bigger fish are moving in and starting the fall bite although they weren't overly aggressive yesterday. We missed a few other fish including at least one that I'm quite sure was over 10 pounds. Spoons were the most effective on this trip and the fish were for the most part in 8 to 10 feet of water. Water temps were low 60's all day which is a good sign the fall bite should take off any day now.
