Arrive at the lake at 0630. 35 degrees. Really not prepared for winter fishing when it was 92 two days ago in Wenatchee.
The water looks like pea soup. 62 degrees.
Trolling a green wedding ring tipped with a chunk of worm, 1/8 oz sliding sinker. Not much going on out in the middle of the lake.
No fish rising anywhere. No wind and mostly sunny. Slide over to the north shore and start fishing just outside the weed line.
Start getting bites but tough to get a hook set. Reduce my worm chunk to a small bite. This helps but still loosing fish before I can get them into the net.
The bite drops off so I add more weight. This helped a lot but still tough to get them to the net.
End up with three rainbows 14-16"
Bass fished for awhile wacky rigged and only caught dinks.
Picked up few decent Perch while trolling. A couple went 8"
Lots of schools of perch showing on the sonar. Some were big enough to make the sonar jump up depth because it couldn't see the bottom of the school.
