Not alot to tell as I threw the Jon Boat in the truck, grabbed the oars, my jig rod and Senko rod and took off. Fished almost a full lap before dark and found very willing small bass up to roughly 14 inches. Senko out produced the jig 10 - 1 so the jig sat most of the time. Caught and released over a dozen. Guys at the launch caught two trout.

New lake for you? Sounds like about the same results as I had there years ago. My best fish was 17 inches but only weighed 2-8. I did sell a bass fishing article about that lake however to Fishing Holes Magazine.

Not a new lake at all Bob, just one I can be at in 5 minutes and get in a little action when I'm short on time. I've caught bass to 3lbs out of here, saw one in the spring that was easily 6lbs and hooked one on my second ever trip here about 25 years ago that I never saw but straightened out my black spinnerbait :o

With my boat of of commission (needs minor fiberglass repair), I bank fish the launch. Haven't been there in over a month. Was wondering how the trout fishing has been? Might make a trip out there as temps cool. Feedback appreciated. Thanks.

Let's_Go; as stated I saw the guys at the launch catch 2 trout. I really didn't pay much attention as you couldn't pay me to eat a trout out of that lake! As the sun set the trout were surface feeding pretty good though, I would think early morning or evening with a bobber and worm would get results?

Good luck!
