We got to the lake about 8:30. I saw that Glenn and Cami were fishing so I had to go find them to say hi. Motor was doing well. But while I was stopped it died. I couldn’t get it started again…for a while. Adam started the kicker and we were going just under 5mph and he thought that was to slow so I tried the big motor again. It started. I think I flooded it. I drove us to the south east end of the lake to fish for perch.

We were drifting drop shot worms. I got the first perch and it was a keeper. But then it was pretty slow. Only a few nibbles and I would have to back us away from shore.
We got into some rock bass now and we all caught some. Adam got the most but William finally started hooking them. William, at the start of the morning, didn’t know how to cast a spinning rod. He was doing great at the end of the time we were there. We stopped just after 10am.

I had Adam start the motor to get us away from shore while I put the gear away. He went fast and then the motor started to shudder and I took over. Full throttle to launch was 7mph. I don’t know what is wrong.
Adam gets home and has to go somewhere and his truck breaks down on the way. (he just bought the truck). What are the odds of that happening in one day...

How deep were you fishing? We did well between 30 and 40 FOW.

we started in 40 and the wind pushed us to shore then I would go back out. I caught my bigger perch while out in the 30's
