Got in the water about 830 a.m. I was trying out my new inflatable boat. Bestway brand. The water was calm so easy rowing. Fish a little less aggressive today. I got lots of small ones and lots of bites. I refused to use bait for almost the whole time so I could catch and release. I used the red bead olive willy..with great success and an olive wooly bugger behind a flasher. Finally near 11 am I went with a worm behind vthe flasher nice and deep and slowly rowed. I mean very slow. Tons of bites. Then bam the poll went down. Lot's of fight on this fish. I pulled in a nice average size fish. A beauty. After closer examination I found it was definitely not a pure rainbow. I am thinking cutbow. I gave it away to man and his little daughter they were heading in and only had one other fish. Another man coming out said he was a fish biologist formerly and he confirmed it was a cutbow. Lot's of fun though even if a low take home. Later morning seemed better.
