Lake Wenatchee has been producing some very nice sockeye. They are big and in good shape this year. This is a great fishery for kids. The bight has been starting a little after 5am and going until 830am. We have been finding most of our biters at 60 to 80 down on riggers. Also we have been missing and loosing lot of fish when we get excited and jump on the rigger. Set hook hard and not get the slack out fast. The best thing to do is walk over pop the rod out of the clip with the least effort needed. This is easier said then done when a rod is going off!!! LOL. Bare hooks worked the best behind a Macks DD Dodger. Running about a 12 inch leader. I still have some open dates starting next week. If you want to learn the lake or not catching enough fish. Let get you out there and get these sockeye dialed in.
