Nice day out there today. Very sunny, but the ever present breeze on Grandy kept it cool. My son and I worked our way around the lake and ended up in the pads on the east end. That's were we found some fish. My son found the right combo pretty early--a bluegill colored swim jig--and worked it to great advantage...he ended up with 10 or so up to 2#. No big ones, but fun. In a reverse of last week it was my turn to get the Skunk on.
On a side note: the pads are dying and thinning out already! We noticed home shrubs and trees are showing some stress from (what the garden center termed "screwed up weather this year--hot early, then cool, etc) and showing fall colors already. Looks like the pads may be doing the same.
