This report is From two trips on Lake Wenatchee. July 22 and 25th. Both days we caught fish from 40' to 60' down on riggers. We have been trolling 0.8 to 1.0 MPH. Speed has been one of our most important details. When the wind picked up on the 22nd we stopped catching fish until we were able to get our speed dialed back in. The morning bite has been the best. The first hour being the prime. I have ran a lot of dodgers and the 2 that have been working are Macks double D and a custom Big dude made by GVF lures. These are moon jelly and pink. We have been running bare hooks, pink hooches and smile blades, smile blades, beads, and flat fish. all have been catching fish. What ever you use make sure it has the action you are looking for. The dodger should be putting a twitch on your hooks. Leader length have been from 8"to 14". The boat ramp is a mess most days. Just have your boat ready to launch and don't hold up people. Tempers and lack of sleep has been getting the best of some people. One of the most important parts of fishing is patience!!!!!
Will see you on the water soon.
