I took my pontoon boat out to lake Wenatchee today looking to get into some sockeye. The wind was moderate at 5:30 AM when I launched from U-beach on N shore drive. Trolled north and hit my first fish in 30 minutes. 2 fish came out in front of the boat garage in 150 ft of water 45 feet OTW. Continued trolling north with no luck until I hit a small point east of the burn. The bite was considerably better at this location with many boats taking fish. Missed a few bites, then caught two more at 55 feet before the wind blew me off the water. Kept lines in the water heading downwind on the way back to the launch and hit my 5th fish. Having a difficult time controlling my boat in 20-30 mph winds, it was getting g sketchy so I pulls up my gear and B-lined back to the launch and was out of the water at 10:00 AM. Gorgeous day on the lake.
All the fish came off a 6 inch silver dodger with two trailing red hooks on a 12 inch leader.
